The bill to abolish several taxes including the electronic levy (e-levy), betting tax, and COVID levy, is set to be laid before Parliament today, Wednesday, March 12.
Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson announced the move during a Joy News interview Tuesday, March 11 after the presentation of the 2025 budget statement before Parliament.
According to him, the bill to ensure those taxes are scrapped will be placed before Parliament today, and they expect lawmakers to push them through with alacrity.
During the budget presentation to Parliament on Tuesday, Ato Forson announced that those three taxes, alongside a few others, 'will be abolished'.
