Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson has taken swipe at Dr Amin Adam for his claims that the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo did not implement the betting tax.
Former Finance Minister and MP for Karaga, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam while addressing the press after the budget statement was presented, insisted that their government never implemented betting tax.
According to him, it is shocking that a tax which was not implemented is being scrapped by the government. "Ladies and Gentlemen, betting tax that they said they had abolished, we never collected betting tax.
We never implemented the betting tax so to come and tell Ghanaians that you have abolished something that was never implemented is to deceive the people of Ghana," he stated.
