The Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga has described the 2025 budget statement as solid.
He said the budget contains reforms that will move the country forward. "The budget provides solid reforms, moving our growth from galamsey to real," he also on the floor of the House after the budget presentation by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson on Tuesday, March 11.
Prior to his comments, the Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin had described the 2025 budget statement as "Azaa" (deceptive) budget.
Afenyo-Markin said indicated that the youth of this country were expecting to hear more on the government's much talked about 24-hour economy yet the Finance Minister did not capture the policy in the budget.
