The Centre for Employment of Persons with Disabilities (CEPD) has lauded the government for what it describes as a "Super Inclusive Budget," intended to prioritize the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the CEPD expressed satisfaction with the policy commitments and substantial financial investments. "This 2025 Budget prioritizes the rights, economic participation, and well-being of persons with disabilities (PWDs) through significant policy commitments and financial allocations," it noted.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to promote inclusion. "This budget marks a turning point for disability rights in the country, setting a new standard for future administrations. "The CEPD commends this historic commitment and urges full implementation to translate these policies into meaningful change.
We stand ready to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that true inclusion, equity, and social justice become a reality for all," it added.
