The newly renovated A4 and A5 wards of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have been officially handed over to the hospital's Management for inpatient care, marking a significant milestone in the "Heal Komfo Anokye" project.

The renovation of the two wards forms part of the first phase of the $10 million renovation initiative spearheaded by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This project aims to restore the second-largest referral hospital in Ghana, which has been in a deteriorated state for over 70 years.

The wards, which have undergone a major transformation with the installation of state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities, will each accommodate 32 patients across five floors.
