Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports who fail to return the documents by March 17, 2025, will have them cancelled and placed on a Stop-List for seizure, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced.

The Ministry's final warning, issued on March 10, 2025, follows an earlier directive from President John Dramani Mahama, who had set January 24, 2025, as the initial deadline for the return of such passports issued during previous administrations.

However, the Ministry says many individuals have not complied, with 404 Diplomatic Passports and 357 Service Passports still unreturned as of now.

The Stop-List measure means that any individual attempting to travel with these passports after the March 17 deadline will have them seized at Ghana's entry and exit points.
