Former Director of Communications for Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign team in the 2024 elections, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has questioned President over the arrest of individuals engaged in illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
According to Aboagye, before the 2024 general elections, President Mahama promised to release galamseyers who had been arrested by the previous government.
However, he finds it baffling that, instead of fulfilling this promise, the president is now cracking down on their activities.
