Joy Kategekwa has challenged financial institutions across the African sub region to develop targeted facilities for women entrepreneurs.
Through Affirmative Financing Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) initiative, the Bank is changing the narrative to provide a tailored plan for women entrepreneurs to achieve full regional integration.
Under the initiative, the African Development Bank Group is making finance available to commercial banks for on-lending to women entrepreneurs and women engaged in multiple ventures of a business nature.
