A former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Gifty Oware-Mensah, has reportedly been released from the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

This follows her detention and interrogation by the security agencies in connection with an ongoing investigation into payroll fraud during her tenure, according to citinewsroom.com.

Oware-Mensah returned to Ghana on Tuesday, March 5, 2025, amid speculations that she had fled the country.

However, she was reportedly arrested on Friday, March 7, and detained briefly before being granted release on Saturday, March 8, after cooperating with investigators.
