Ghanaians have called for Ken Ofori-Atta to be immediately jailed after claiming he acted in the best interest of the public during his time in office as Finance Minister.
Ofori-Atta oversaw the worst economic crisis in generations that shot Ghana's cost of living up and left many Ghanaians in a financial crisis.
While many Ghanaians called for his resignation due to failure, including many MPs of his own NPP party, Ofori-Atta, who is Akufo-Addo's cousin, stayed in power until 2024.
Many Ghanaians were also 'pissed' due to the fact that he was allegedly personally benefiting from Ghana going into debt as he was receiving a fee everytime the country borrowed.
