Former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Gifty Oware-Mensah, has been released after being probed by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) in connection with an ongoing probe into alleged irregularities within the Scheme.

She was reportedly taken in for questioning on Friday, March 7, and briefly detained before securing her release on Saturday, March 8.

While details of her involvement remain unclear, sources suggest she may be recalled for further interrogation as the investigation unfolds.

The probe is said to focus on suspected malpractices, including a ghost names scandal at the NSS, though authorities have yet to provide an official statement on her role in the matter.
