Private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu, has said he is poised to represent the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority, Gifty Oware-Mensah, in court if the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) fails to release her or arraign her before the law court.
He said failure to apply the 48-hour rule is a violation of Gifty Oware-Mensah's rights.
According to him, although he wants Gifty Oware-Mensah to face justice, it is unfair for her to be detained for more than 48 hours, thereby urging the NIB to follow due process.
Speaking on TV3's KeyPoint, the legal practitioner said, "If the NIB breaches the 48-hour rule, I will be happy to represent Gifty Oware-Mensah.
