Some female MPs and staff in have reaffirmed the urgent need for action to advance gender equality as Ghana joins the world in marking International Women's Day (IWD).
In a video produced by to commemorate the occasion, these individuals emphasised the need to accelerate progress toward achieving gender equality and empowerment.
The Member of for Akwapim South, Lawrencia Dziwornu, emphasised the importance of this year's theme. "This year's theme is to accelerate action", she noted.
Okaikwei North Member of , Theresa Lardi Awuni, also highlighted the need for women to be actively involved in national development. "If we don't move, our voices will not he heard, as women, what are we bringing on board to make it work?", she stated.
