Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East, Mavis Nkansah Boadu, has urged the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, to reach out to his predecessor to learn from him on how he was able to keep the lights on for eight years.

According to her, the recent power outages clearly show that the President's claim that he fixed "dumsor" before exiting power in 2017 is not true.

She believes that the president cannot keep the lights on and needs to consult on how the lights were kept on during the previous administration.

Mavis Nkansah Boadu was addressing Parliament when she made this known. "Mr Speaker, I have with me here a load-shedding document, and this dates back to October 1st to 14th.
