The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a major reassignment of some Regional Health Directors, as part of measures to ensure quality healthcare service delivery nationwide.

In a statement dated March 5, the GHS noted that reassignment will take effect from April 14, 2025.

According to the GHS, these reassignments aim to strengthen the healthcare system and ensure the achievement of GHS objectives.

The following directors have been reassigned: Dr Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng: Previously the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) for the Upper East Region, he will now serve as the Director of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PPMED) at GHS headquarters.
