Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has revealed plans by the government to upgrade the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, otherwise known as the Ridge Hospital into a Teaching Hospital.
This, he says forms part of a broader effort, to enhance healthcare delivery in the country.
He stated that government intends to establish at least one regional hospital in each of the sixteen regions of the nation.
Speaking on Joy TV's The Upfront, the health minister said existing hospitals must be upgraded for ore efficiency. "We are also looking at upgrading some of the already existing health facilities.
