The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reassigned several regional health directors as part of efforts aimed at enhancing quality healthcare in the country.
The reassignments, which take effect from April 14, 2025, was announced in a statement issued by the service on Friday, March 7, 2025. "As part of efforts to strengthen quality health service delivery to facilitate the achievement of the objectives of the Ghana Health Service, the following Directors have been reassigned as follows with effect from April 14, 2025,", it said.
Among those reassigned include Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng, who previously served as the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) in the Upper East Region.
He will now take up the role of the Director of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PPMED) at GHS headquarters.
