In a significant development during Ghana's 68th Independence Day celebration, the North East Regional Minister and the British High Commissioner have launched a collaborative initiative aimed specifically at enhancing tomato production in the North East region.

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to boosting local agriculture and creating sustainable job opportunities that can uplift the North East region.

Central to this initiative is the establishment of a modern tomato processing factory, which is set to revolutionize the local tomato industry by providing facilities for processing, to minimize post-harvest losses and maximize the value derived from tomato production.

This strategic move will not only increase the availability of processed tomato products but also strengthen the entire value chain, benefiting local farmers and contributing to the region's economic growth.
