Former President John Dramani Mahama, accompanied by his younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama, has visited Agavedzi in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region to assess the extent of devastation caused by recent tidal waves.
Ibrahim Mahama, the Managing Director of Engineers & Planners, personally drove the president to the affected site, symbolising their shared commitment to addressing the crisis.
The visit, which included the Minister of Roads and Highways, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and the CEO of Engineers & Planners, aimed to inspect the resettlement site allocated by the previous government and evaluate ongoing efforts to support displaced residents.
Agavedzi, a coastal community in the Volta Region, has been severely impacted by tidal waves, leading to the destruction of homes and the displacement of numerous families.
