A member of the National Communications Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Tabitha Ayilla, has credited Ghana's current economic stability to the sacrifices made during the domestic debt restructuring process under the previous government.

Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV monitored by MyNewsGH, she admitted that the policy was unpopular but emphasized that it played a crucial role in reviving the economy. "The only place most people were not happy with us was the domestic debt restructuring.

I remember vividly that the then Finance Minister, Honorable Amin Adam, came out and apologized to those who were affected," she said.

Despite the backlash, Ayilla insisted that the decision was necessary for economic recovery. "Due to those sacrifices, we have a good economy today.
