Former President Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived at the Jubilee House to participate in Ghana's 68th Independence Day celebration.

This marks his first public national event since handing over power to President John Dramani Mahama.

His presence at the scaled-down ceremony is notable, as he was absent from President Mahama's first State of the Nation Address last week.
