A devastating explosion at shops dealing in mining explosives in Odumase, near Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has claimed one life and left several others injured, including firefighters.
The fire reportedly broke out in one of the shops selling dynamites and other explosives used by local miners, triggering a powerful blast that damaged buildings and sent shockwaves through the area.
