President John Dramani Mahama has arrived at the Jubilee House to lead Ghana's 68th Independence Day celebrations.
The annual event, which marks the country's liberation from British colonial rule in 1957, is being held at the seat of government this year as part of a cost-cutting measure announced by the administration.
The President's arrival sets the stage for the official commemoration, which will include a parade and a national address reflecting on Ghana's journey since independence.
The event has drawn dignitaries, former presidents, traditional leaders, and members of the diplomatic corps, all gathered to honour the nation's resilience and progress over the past 68 years.
