Former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, says he will not consider going back to contest for the same position.

According to him, there have been several calls on him to contest for the position; however, he believes that he has done his best in that position and will consider other positions where he can contribute his quota to the political party.

What's even a turn-off for him about the General Secretary is the insults that come with the position. "The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of proposals on me.

A lot of the people want me to contest for the General Secretary, but others also believe that with my experience and positions occupied, I should rather provide guidance for the executives, so I will consider the National Chairman position. "As for General Secretary, I am tired of the position.
