Residents of Sagnarigu in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern Region have expressed their gratitude to their Member of (MP), Atta Issah, for commissioning a Community Water Supply Centre for the township.
The residents noted that the MP has not only provided them with accessible drinking water but has also "brought us life because, from today, we don't have to travel long distances for water." Daud Alhassan Wunpini, a resident of Sagnarigu, shared with reporters that he previously had to pay exorbitant amounts to water suppliers to get pipe-borne water for his family, even though the main reservoir of the Ghana Water Company was just a few minutes' walk from his home. "We thank God that today, we can have good drinking water almost for free.
We've suffered for so long, even though the Ghana Water Company has a big reservoir at Tamasco.
Our pipes never flow, especially during the dry season.
