Assembly Members of the Akatsi South Municipality have lauded the pledge by President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that all Assembly Members across the country receive a structured monthly allowance.
In a statement signed by the Presiding Member, Mr.
Ahiable Raphael Kofi, the Assembly Members expressed their appreciation for Mahama's recognition of their role in grassroots governance and his commitment to addressing the financial constraints that have hindered their effectiveness. "As representatives of our communities, we play a crucial role in governance, development planning, and policy implementation.
However, the absence of a structured allowance has long been a major obstacle to our work," the statement noted.
