A trusted consultancy firm will be brought on board to assess the overall project costs of the new Bank of Ghana headquarters facility, the project team has disclosed.
The project, which was originally termed a "Thank You" initiative, did not undergo the usual quantity cost assessments or analysis before its launch, leading to questions about the accuracy of the budget estimations.
In a significant move to ensure transparency and accuracy, the new bank of Ghana headquarters facility that had relied on various approvals for cost validation is now set to undergo an independent review.
A member of the project team, Nana Buabeng who joined the Governor to address Parliament on Wednesday, March 05, 2025 said the need for a thorough cost review has become apparent. "We relied on various approvals to confirm the value for the contract," the project team told parliament.
