The Ministry of Health has refuted claims by former Finance Minister Dr Amin Adams that three hospitals under the Agenda 111 project were completed, equipped, and commissioned before the previous government left office.

In a press release issued on 5 March 2025, the Ministry stated that these assertions, published in the Ghanaian Times on 4 March, were misleading and did not reflect the reality on the ground.

According to the Ministry, a recent inspection of the Agenda 111 hospital sites at Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality and Kokoben in the Oforikrom Municipality revealed that key medical installations-including imaging and mortuary equipment, solid waste management systems, ophthalmology and dental units, and theatre equipment-were yet to be installed.

The Ministry also provided further clarifications: The previous government spent $400 million on the Agenda 111 project.
