Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, lawyer for embattled former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Gifty Oware, has said that his client has not been invited by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
There have been reports that she fled Ghana to avoid being interrogated over corruption-related issues at the National Service Authority.
However, in an interview with Joy News, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah stated that Gifty Oware Mensah had not received an invitation from any security agency prior to her arrival in Ghana on March 4, 2025. "Up until today, she had not been invited by the NIB.
Up until today, no security agency has invited her. "I am putting it on record: Gifty Oware, up until today, has not been invited by any security agency," he emphatically stated on JoyNews PM Express on Tuesday, March 4.
