The Ghana National Association of Small-Scale Miners(GNASSM) has announced a collaboration with regulatory agencies to expose individuals using the Association's name to engage in illegal mining.

As part of the initiative, the Association is compiling a nationwide database of its members to weed out miscreants and promote responsible mining.

Ghana's fight against illegal mining has intensified, with the government strengthening efforts to protect major water bodies and forest reserves.

Licensed small-scale miners play a crucial role in the country's mining sector.
