Economic experts have called on the government to prioritise public education and awareness campaigns to improve tax compliance, emphasising the need for a comprehensive approach to address Ghana's revenue mobilisation challenges.

The recommendations were made during the National Economic Dialogue, where stakeholders discussed strategies for achieving macroeconomic stability and sustainable growth.

Leading the discussions, Economic Analyst Leslie Dwight Mensah highlighted the critical role of tax education in fostering a culture of compliance.

He urged the government to launch an unprecedented nationwide campaign to sensitise citizens about their tax obligations. "We would also like the administration to embark on the comprehensive tax education and sensitisation programme we have seen in this country since independence.
