The Minority Caucus in Parliament has criticised President for failing to outline concrete strategies to fix the country's struggling economy during his recent State of Nation Address; rather, he was engaged in propaganda.
Addressing a press conference on March 3, the former Minister of Finance, , accused the President of engaging in propaganda instead of providing solutions to Ghana's economic crisis. "Rather than providing clear strategies to fix the economy, the President spent a significant portion of his address engaging in propaganda and blaming others for his administration's shortcomings," he stated.
The former finance minister argued that Mahama's past leadership had led to widespread economic difficulties, including the collapse of businesses, rising unemployment, and excessive borrowing.
He added that instead of acknowledging these issues and taking responsibility, the President was attempting to rewrite the narrative to shift blame. "We all remember how his past leadership led to the collapse of businesses, high unemployment, and excessive borrowing.
