The President John Dramani Mahama has urged the clergy not to hesitate to speak up if they feel things are not going well in his government.

Quoting the popular adage that 'he who is cutting a path does not know that his back is crooked', President Mahama said he could only be put on the right path if men of conscience spoke up. "We must foster ongoing dialogue between church leaders and national authorities.

The church has a voice that must be heard in the national discourse.

So don't be afraid to speak up if you see things going wrong in my government, if you see anything bending, don't be afraid to tell us," President Mahama said.
