Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe has directed the Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, to investigate allegations of unjustifiable staff promotions within the Authority.
During a courtesy visit to GPHA, Mr.
Nikpe emphasized that promotions should be based on merit and fairness, rather than political affiliations.
He stressed that GPHA is a business entity and should operate with professionalism and efficiency, rather than allowing political considerations to influence its internal decisions. "The port is a business hub, and all decisions made must reflect that reality.
