NDC manifesto: Ghana is bleeding and crying for change – Mahama

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has said that the 'no academic fees for level 100 students' initiative will cost between 270 million and 290 million Cedis. Former President John Mahama has urged Ghanaians to vote for him and the NDC in this year's election. He says Ghana cannot afford to go a day beyond January 7 with the NPP in office.
"Ghana is bleeding, crying for change, Ghanaians can take no more hardships, impunity, lies, state capture," he said during the launch of the NDC manifesto in Winneba on Saturday, August 24. He further told the governing NPP to start writing their handover notes.
"They must begin writing their handover notes," he said after describing the Akufo-Addo "as the biggest political scam."
For his part, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that Ghana's economy under the Akufo-Addo administration has been destroyed. For the first time, he recounted that pensioners have had to picketed at the Ministry of Finance against the government
Several taxes have also been introduced thereby worsening the plight of Ghanaians.
