Ghana's leading media conglomerate, Media General, has officially launched Ghana Month, a month-long celebration dedicated to honouring the country's independence and showcasing its rich cultural heritage.

Ghana gained independence from colonial rule on March 6, 1957, and March has since been designated as a time to reflect on the nation's history, traditions, and achievements.

The theme for this year's celebration is "Promoting National Cohesion Through Culture." Throughout the month, Media General will host a series of radio, television, and online programs aimed at commemorating the occasion and engaging Ghanaians in discussions about unity, heritage, and national identity.

The launch event, held on Monday, March 3, at the New Ghana Village, was attended by key figures from government, media, and traditional leadership.
