Construction of the multipurpose Hajj Village at Kotoka International Airport is progressing steadily following the sod-cutting ceremony led by President on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The project, spearheaded by the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing pilgrimage operations while generating non-aeronautical revenue for the company.
As a state-owned, self-sustaining commercial entity, GACL relies on internal revenue generation through commercial partnerships to fund its operations, facilitating the movement of aircraft, passengers, cargo, and mail.
Delivering the keynote address, President Mahama reaffirmed his administration's commitment to honoring promises made to the Muslim community.
