The Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu, John Jinapor has observed that the energy sector of Ghana's economy is collapsing and the only way to change that is to change the government. He says that the manifesto of the e National Democratic Congress (NDC) will focus on delivering that plan. He further indicated that oil production under the current government has dropped but the NDC manifesto aims at addressing. The NDC is targeting to produce 400,000 barrels of crude oil a day if the party wins the elections to form the government, he added.

"Renewable energy forms a major part of the manifesto, access to electricity will be a focus of the manifesto," he told TV3 ahead of the launch of the manifesto on Saturday, August 24 in Winneba. For his part, the Minority Chef Whip Kwame Agbodza said that the 2024 manifesto will focus on key areas including corruption, job creation.
