Renowned actress and former Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA), Juliet Yaa Asante has disclosed that as of the end of last year, the Bank of Ghana cleared money in the NFA accounts.
The money she said was raised purposely to set up a office and get a vehicle for the National Film Authority. "The little money I raised for office and car by the end of last year has been cleared from the accounts by the Bank of Ghana before we could get the office and get the office vehicle," she said.
Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante in a post on Sunday, March 2, 2025 opened up the challenges that hindered her work while she was the Executive Secretary for the NFA.
In an emotional social media post, Asante revealed that she was handed the position without an office, a team, or a vehicle to facilitate her work. "With a paper in hand, but no office or money, I set out to recruit staff," she recalled.
