A 36-year-old job seeker who stole a mobile phone from one of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) offices in Accra has been jailed.

Foster Nyarko was jailed when he appeared before the court for stealing a Samsung A54 5G mobile phone, valued at GHC4,999, belonging to a Principal Administrator at CHRAJ.

The court presided over by Basilia Adjei-Tawiah at the last sitting, convicted Nyarko on his own plea but deferred the sentence.

Nyarko was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment for unlawful entry and two years for stealing.
