Deputy Director in Charge of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Gbande has criticized the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) planned ' True State of the Nation address', calling it a move to distract the public.
His statement comes after the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) announced that it would deliver what it calls the "True State of the Nation Address" on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, following President John Dramani Mahama's State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered on February 27, 2025.
In an exclusive interview with Channel One News, Gbande suggested that instead of focusing on political tactics, the party should take the time to reflect on their recent election loss. "NPP if they were a good political party led by thinking leaders, this is the time to reflect, go back to their base and apologise.
They won't do that, they want to still adapt to arrogance, insult and the mindset to destabilise this country," he stated.
