Eight people lost their lives instantly, while several others sustained severe injuries in a ghastly accident along the Bolgatanga-Walewale highway on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The tragic incident occurred at Karimenga, a farming community along the highway, when a Kumasi-Bolgatanga bound bus crashed into a parked container truck.
The accident killed eight passengers on the spot and left many others seriously injured.
Local residents, with assistance from officers of the Ghana National Fire Service, rescued the injured and transported them to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.
