Dr Mahama Tiah Abdul-Kabiru, Member of Parliament (MP) for Walewale has criticised the president's State of the Nation Address, claiming it failed to present the true state of the nation.
He argued that the president's address lacked the real and current economic situation of Ghana, instead deferring to future events for a more accurate picture.
Dr Abdul-Kabiru stated on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday that Article 67 mandates the president to present the state of the nation.
He pointed out that the president admitted he was not ready to present the real state of the nation and instead mentioned that two upcoming events-the economic dialogue and the Finance Minister's statement-would provide the true state of Ghana's economic crisis.
