Nhyiaeso lawmaker Dr Stephen Amoah has said that in just less than fifty days that the Mahama administration has been in place the government has borrowed GHS 59 billion.
Dr Amoa said this while addressing the press in Parliament on February 27, 2025, during the State of the Nation Address (SONA), presented by President John Dramani Mahama. "All the payments the President [Mahama] is referring to-where did they get the money from?
In less than two months, the NDC government has borrowed almost GH¢59 billion, an unprecedented amount.
Ghanaians have given them the mandate, but they must be held accountable," Dr Amoah said.
