The President of the Republic, , is set to cut the sod for the construction of the Hajj Village, a significant infrastructure project aimed at improving facilities for Ghanaian pilgrims embarking on the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.

The event, which underscores the government's commitment to enhancing the welfare of Muslim pilgrims, will be attended by several notable dignitaries, including the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, prominent Muslim scholars, government officials, and representatives from the Hajj Board.

The Hajj Village is expected to provide modern accommodation, administrative offices, and other essential amenities to facilitate a smoother and more organized pilgrimage process for Ghanaian Muslims.
