A 21-year-old final-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Daniel Tuffuor, has been remanded into police custody over the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Joana Deladem Yabani, a fellow final-year student.
Joana's lifeless body was found on campus in the early hours of Thursday, February 27, 2025, after university security was alerted to the incident.
Following initial investigations, police arrested Tuffuor later that same day as a prime suspect in the case.
The suspect was arraigned before the Prempeh District Court, where the prosecution requested more time for investigations.
