Ghana's sports sector is facing a major decline, with poor performances in international competitions raising concerns, especially about the state of football management in the country.
President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to bring transparency into the administration of the sector, particularly in the financial management of national teams."There will be no secrecy in how much the government spends on the national teams; I have directed that the GFA be held accountable," Mahama stated in his State of the Nation Address on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
