A bus carrying about 60 children who had participated in a football tournament has been involved in an accident on the Kwahu mountain, resulting in the loss of several lives. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 24, 2024, around 3 to 4 am. It is believed the bus experienced brake failure while descending the Kwahu Mountain. One of the surviving footballers who was transported to the hospital together with other injured persons using Nkawkaw based Agoo FM's vehicle narrated the cause of the incident, saying, "We came to participate in the 32-club tournament at Kwahu Obo and were heading back to Ada. The bus was fully loaded, and as we descended, it started swaying from left to right until it eventually overturned.
