The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has assured that her ministry will engage cement manufacturers to explore solutions to the rising cost of cement.

Her assurance comes in response to reports that retailers have increased cement prices by approximately GHS9 per bag.

Speaking to Citi News, the minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting businesses while ensuring fair pricing for consumers. "We met them before when I came, some of the leading manufacturers of cement met me.

We are going to meet them again and see how we are all going to work together to ensure that the pricing is fair.
