The Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has accused President John Dramani Mahama of low women representation in his government, especially the cabinet.

He asked the president the whereabouts of the women in his government.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament after the president's 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, he said "The president has announced to us a cabinet, a cabinet of 19 with only 2 women, but the daughter of the NDC, Zanetor Rawlings is missing.  Hajia Lardy is missing, Hellene Ntorsso is missing, where are the women in this government?" "The Vice President {Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang] is part of the government and we are seeing only two women in the cabinet.
